We are 14 months old!

Which one is which?

Nick's mom found this old picture of Nick in his high chair...do you see any resemblance? To me, it is hard to tell them apart! I could take Nick's picture around and say it is Jack, and I am sure I would fool a lot of people. Just thought this would be interesting....

Vast Vocabulary!!

Jack now has a vast vocabulary for a 13-month old. He can say duck, dog, woof, banana ("nana"), dada, mama, ball, and kitty cat. He also can correctly identify his belly, his nose, his ears and all of the above objects. Claire also has a lot of words in her vocab including duck (a personal favorite which she likes to say over and over again), Daddy (which she draws out and says "dAAA, Ddy"), mama, nana, and dog (which sounds more like "duh"). I can't believe how much they are learning so quickly!!!

Also, Claire has been really walking lately (not as much as Jack, but she just took her first step last week, and now she can walk half way across the room)!

Baby girl can walk!!

Well, I haven't been able to witness it yet...so I guess I can't publish a good picture of her walking...

My nanny got to see Claire's first steps yesterday :( I wish I had been there to see it. I knew it was coming soon because she was standing by herself and kept looking at Jack when he walked as if she was thinking, "why can't I do that?" Today she apparently took 4 steps on her own. Nick saw her take two steps as she tried to walk over and greet him tonight. I hope I get to see it tomorrow!

Random Pictures

Just some random cute pictures of the kids. It was almost 80 degrees yesterday....I find that amusing given that last Monday was a snow day. Go figure. There is one picture of Jack correctly identifying the banana in the book. He is a little smarty pants. There is another picture of Claire devouring her crackers. Adorable. The rest of the pictures are just them playing in their play room (enjoying being babies) :)

And.... more new tricks!!

My mom keeps telling me they will be doing new tricks every day now...and they do! Jack can now identify a banana in a book when asked (banana is one of his new favorite words along with dog which really comes out more like "da." Claire is standing by herself now, but not quite walking. Her words are "Cat" "Jack" "Duck" and "Banana." Sometimes we aren't sure which she is trying to say until she points (baby gibberish can all sound alike). Anyway, here they are eating snacks at their new activity table. So grown-up!

Snow day and 13 months old!!

We don't get much snow in the Carolinas (last time I remember a snow like this was in 2004). So when we do, it is a historical event! I wanted the babies to at least put their feet in it...I am not sure they knew what to do with it though. Claire was pretty scared of it in general (as you can see by the pictures). Jack just plopped his behind down in the snow, but then didn't move. Also, they turned 13 months old two days ago (sort of. There aren't 29 days this Feb, so we had to celebrate on the March 1st).
