2 years old!

I can't believe they are two! I just can't believe it! They had a great party last weekend, and yesterday (for their actual day) we went to Monkey Joes and bounced and jumped. We also went to the mall and had lunch. It was a wonderful day! I have included some pictures from their party. They had an Elmo theme (of course). We had it at Grandma Kendall's house but Grandma Kisner was able to come too. They had so much fun.

We weighed them yesterday (had to compare each year). Jack is now 29 pounds and 4 ounces and Claire is 26 pounds and 4 ounces. Hard to believe that just 2 short years ago we were still in the hospital because Claire couldn't gain weight. She was born at 4 pounds 11 ounces but left at 4 pounds 3 oz. You would never know that by looking at her now!

Last year at this time, I was worried she would never walk (Jack had been walking for months). Now she runs, jumps, bounces, and can talk in 2 and 3 word sentences! Unbelieveable!

Funny Food stuff

Jack loves to carry food around and organize it. I don't know why. He carries his waffles or pancakes everywhere in the house before he eats it (and puts it under the covers etc.). He will cry if you take it away. He also likes to take his snacks (goldfish or cheerios) and put them in containers or line them up (he doesn't like to eat it from the regular plate or bowl he is given). It is actually very funny. Yesterday, though, he thought of something even more creative. He found out his cheese could stick to the wall! So, he just tore it up in pieces and put it up there for a while...he would go play and then come back for a piece of cheese. I had to take a picture!

All they can do and they aren't even two!!

I am amazed every day by everything that they do...both of them can count (Jack can count to ten, Claire tries but then somehow goes directly to 14 and 18). Both can sing the ABC song (although it gets a little jumbled in the middle after "i" and seems to clear up after "w".) They know so many words and even verbs. Claire says "running" "swimming" "jumping" "eating" "sleeping" and knows what they all mean. She puts together 2 and 3 word sentences no problem. Jack isn't as verbal but still knows a lot of words. He is great with blocks and puzzles. He can stack blocks 14 high (probably could do higher if we were taller). He can do puzzles that are for 3 and 4 year olds and acts like it is no big deal. He is so funny because he likes to carry around fruit (oranges, lemons, apples). He will always go around and tell you what he has -- "orange, orange, orange." Claire carries her babies around (her pink and blue teddy bears) and reads to them. She also loves to color! She can hold a crayon just perfectly. Claire knows so many animals -- she can distinguish between tiger, lion, leopard. She knows otter, whale and dolphin. It is amazing!! I can't believe they aren't even two. They even know their colors (although Claire will tell you that everything is pink first but when you pin her down, she will admit is another color :). I used to say that I wish they would do more "tricks." Well I got 'em!
